Insurance and Loss Recovery

When a loss occurs, experience and speed decide the outcome

Our team combines experience in international legal consulting and work inside insurance companies. We see the process not only formally, but through the eyes of those who decide on the payout.

When clients come to us

The insurer refuses to pay, the loss is complex or disputed, the amount is critical for the business, or the standard mechanisms stop working. And also when you need to enter the insurance market or build an insurance protection programme.

    An in-house system for loss settlement and claims handling.

  4. 04

    Access to international insurance and reinsurance markets where this is still possible.

  5. 05

    Assessing the tax efficiency of insurance mechanisms.

  6. 06

    M&A with financial institutions, regulatory risks, KYC and AML, sanctions and currency risks.

Loss settlement

What sets us apart

We analyse the policy and insurance rules, prepare the loss documentation, arrange an independent expert review, negotiate and defend the client in court at any level, including in cross-border disputes. We do not let insurers drag out the settlement or refuse on formal grounds.

In complex cases, payouts go to those who:

  • manage the client’s position from the first signs of an insured event through to court;
  • remove grounds for refusal in advance;
  • build arguments the insurer accepts;
  • know the inner logic of the insurance market and how insurers, brokers, reinsurers and adjusters make decisions.
